Donovan Correctional Facility, Painting P.I.C.S.: A Post-Incarceration Syndrome Art Workbook is a 108-page collection of 17 creative exercises developed to support people navigating the effects of incarceration and reentry.
Through drawing, painting, writing, reflection, and collaborative artmaking, the projects encourage focus, experimentation, personal expression, connection, and creativity. Designed to be accessible at any skill level and using simple materials and techniques, the workbook can be used by people who are currently incarcerated, recently released, or supporting someone who is.
